Support NSW workers to get tested without losing pay!Subsequent lockdowns and outbreaks have seen many workers exhaust their leave entitlements and what little they had savings. Workers are being forced to choose between their livelihoods and the health and safety of the community. As we continue to face down this pandemic, workers need to be supported in keeping the community safe - this means being able to get tested, self-isolate and still pay the bills. Sign the petition and tell Premier Gladys Berejiklian: To get through this crisis, EVERY WORKER must be able to get tested and isolate without the worry of losing their livelihoods and making ends meet. Not doing so risks the entire communityтАЩs health and shirks the government's responsibility to look after the wellbeing of all during an unprecedented pandemic. To help ensure all of us can follow public health advice and stay safe during this crisis, sign the petition now. *Wording has been updated with details of the new payment and the recent statewide lockdown.991 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by United Workers Union

Union Picnic Day is for union members only!Under the Local Government (State) Award, Union Picnic Day is a Public Holiday for Union members. Councils should stop: Giving an over Award payment to non-Union members. Allowing non-Union members to celebrate the achievements of the Union. Paying non-Union members when they should be, as per the Award, applying to take leave. Costing rate payers many thousands of dollars unnecessarily.200 of 300 SignaturesCreated by United Services Union - USU

NSW: Strengthen the Lockdown, Increase Support Payments! The Covid-19 situation in NSW is extremely concerning. Once again, the failure to build proper, dedicated quarantine facilities has resulted in a serious local outbreak, this time of the incredibly contagious Delta strain. Vaccination rates remain woefully low. The NSW Government has acted far too slowly and half-heartedly in relation to the current outbreak. Nobody enjoys lockdowns, but the failure to enact a serious lockdown soon enough has let this outbreak grow, and now means that the lockdown must be extended and strengthened. Allowing the virus to spread would be a health disaster, not just for NSW but for all Australia.83 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joshua Lees

Australians need secure and reliable jobsInsecure work is a serious problem for Australian communities and families. Having a secure job is connected to so many basic things like mental health, food, housing, and being able to plan your life. And when people donтАЩt have stable or secure jobs, they have less money to spend in local businesses which affects the local economy. We need the Albanese Government to deliver on its promise of returning Australia to a country where people could rely on quality, secure employment.23,454 of 25,000 SignaturesCreated by Australian Unions

Paid Vaccination Leave for All WorkersThe latest plan from the Morrison Government predicts 2 million jabs per week from September. But too many employers are not allowing workers to take the necessary time off to get the job. Those at the greatest risk include casuals and low paid essential workers. No worker should have to choose between getting vaccinated and paying the bills. Last year workers in their unions won paid-pandemic leave and Job Keeper. This year, together, we can win paid vaccination leave. We need a strong voice to demand nationwide paid vaccination leave to give workers paid time off to get the jab and recover from any side effects.18,229 of 20,000 SignaturesCreated by Australian Unions

FORCED REDUNDANCIES ARE NOT THE ANSWERтАв тАШSpill and fillтАЩ redundancy measures will only exacerbate the anxiety and stress experienced by staff. тАв The University has a responsibility to its staff and to do the right thing for them. тАв Redundancies may lead to important work being shifted onto remaining staff or outsourced to external agencies at a substantially higher cost than if performed by University staff. Support Mental Health WorkersJune 30th marked 12 months since the Victorian Public Sector Mental Health EBA expired. 12 months during which the Andrews Government has failed to provide the pay and conditions Mental Health workers deserve. 12 months of a global pandemic, where these workers pushed themselves harder to ever to help Victorians. 12 months of dealing with safety issues, a staffing crisis and increasing workloads. Send a message to James Merlino, the Mental Health Minister, telling him to fix the Mental Health EBA. тАв Fix the staffing crisis in Mental Health, тАв Make our hospitals safer, тАв Treat essential workers fairly. We need Minister Merlino to act now to Support Mental Health workers457 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Health and Community Services Union

Save the ANU health service! This has been part of a broader trend of universities outsourcing the provision of services to external companies at a lower cost, usually involving an attack on workersтАЩ wages and conditions. With the potential collapse of the Co-op imminent, itтАЩs possible that its ANU clinic will be taken over by another external company. This is no solution for staff or patients. Despite being a registered charity, the Co-op has had to compete with private billing clinics. ItтАЩs inability to do so is what has thrown the future of its staff and the patients who rely on its services up in the air. Unless the ANU steps in to run the service directly thereтАЩs nothing to stop this from happening again. Seeing a doctor is already more expensive in Canberra than almost anywhere else in Australia. Canberra has the lowest bulk-billing rate of any electorate in the country, with only 32% of patients having their GP appointments bulk-billed - well below the national average of 86.2%. Canberrans also pay higher out-of-pocket costs at mixed-billing clinics. Free, accessible healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. LetтАЩs end the outsourcing of vital university services.297 of 300 SignaturesCreated by ANU Education Activism Network

BPO Workers Urgent Demands for Aid and Wage SubsidyThe COVID pandemic and its economic consequences heavily impacted BPO workersтАЩ safety, jobs and rights at work. From rising COVID cases in BPO worksites, loss of job and income due to floating or no work no pay, to lack of logistical and utility support for WFH employees, BPO workers indeed hurdle more challenges at work. In these trying times, let us stand as one by signing this petition to call on the Philippine government to look into our plight and take action.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by BIEN Pilipinas

Don't Steal Our SuperThe Superannuation contributions of all Australians are legislated to increase from 9.5% to 10% on July 1 this year, and then rise 0.5 per cent each year, until they reach 12% by 2025. These increases were legislated in 2012 to ensure that Superannuation remained at a sustainable rate that was fit for purpose. Superannuation тАУ no matter the rate - has always been required to be paid as a percentage of, and on top of your pay. ANZ have signaled their intention to make use of a loophole in some of their employment contracts to avoid passing on the legally mandated increase to employees. In fact, theyтАЩre going to make employees fund the increase themselves. It's not right, and they ought to reconsider. They can certainly afford to do the right thing. **Your details will not be shared with ANZ**566 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Finance Sector Union
