We the undersigned Westpac staff are concerned about Westpac’s current practice of offshoring work and functions. We believe this practice will result in the loss of Australian jobs and skills and is not in the best interest of our community and customers. We call on Westpac to:
* Support secure Australian jobs
* Guarantee that no BPU jobs will be sent offshore
* Commit that all BPU work is done in Australia by Australian workers
Why is this important?
Every Westpac employee contributed to the bank achieving $7.45 billion profit last year. Westpac can afford to invest in Australian jobs and skills. That’s the way to support Australia!
