QANTAS: We want a fair deal for all workers

This campaign has ended.

Qantas have unilaterally decided to strip the pay and conditions from 1 in 3 workers at the company.

True to form Qantas has thrown a curve ball to the workers who are negotiating their pay and conditions that should be done in good faith.

Within weeks of Qantas giving CEO Alan Joyce a $287,000 pay rise the company is pushing to move 1,300 workers onto individual contracts and remove their negotiated workplace rights and conditions.

First Qantas offshored customer service call centre jobs, then they sacked over 2,000 workers in the middle of a pandemic all while receiving $856 million in JobKeeper, and now they want to pull the rug out of under the workers who have kept Qantas going.

This is a window into what they want to do next, make no mistake Qantas won't stop here.

We are demanding a fair negotiation for all Qantas workers.

Why is this important?

Workers who have been targeted by Qantas only want their right to collective bargain and negotiate their pay and conditions.

Australian Services Union members at Qantas are standing shoulder to shoulder to fight this every step of the way.

We all work for one airline and have been part of one workplace agreement and one set of workplace conditions for over 20 years.

We need a decent pay rise that keeps up with the cost of living not one that sends us backwards. That’s our wages policy.

Qantas, workers want a fair deal for ALL staff now.
